The Ride Home

On the way home this particular peacock came out of the dry creek bed to graze.
Sitting on a bench looking up I thought a deer, with all the crunching sounds of dead leaves.

To my delight it was of course a huge surprise.
No backyard bird like this one at home.

Sassy perhaps a bit bossy, doing a strut along the walkway later that evening.

On the highway in route homeward, this was another bizarre moment.

Coming home from a very hot desert, this is what I see.
It seemed to be a commercial farm which sell their flowers to nurserys.
Rows and rows of all colors, no sun, overcast, and damp.
But it didn't matter, I was there.

Back to desert life I spotted a lizard coming out of a unused campfire ring.
He was not in a hurry, eating his way across the desert slowly he went.
I thought he had a lot of personality and gusto!

The parrot was in a large cage on one of our stops home.
He seemed to be very nurtured, and happy.
After viewing my photos at home, it appeared like he was smiling.
I can't believe it came out because I took photographs through the wire cage.

His fluffy soft yellow head was vivid.
He was squacking a lot.
But so do I.
Somethimes you always get what you need.

I have never seen a rabbit  STRETCH before!

Have you?

Many rabbits were making their appearance.
Cats and dogs stretch, I was baffled by the morning stretching.
If the light had been a bit better, I could of got more detail.
No complaints here, it was wonderful.
He made my day.

Wall Art

Last summer in Malibu, California with two girlfriends, we found this flower shop.
Entrances like this pull my strings.
An older building with flowers, a very whimsical enchanted nursery through the back doors.
I kept thinking I would do something with this photo, like print cards.

Backing up some, I have wanted a few of my photographs to be printed for hanging in my home.
I have done this one time, and that was 4 years ago.
Asking myself what will look right, will Il be happy with them?
 I always put it off...
Last week I had a photo done of the trunks of birch trees, and leaves from my recent trip to Montana.
A panorama canvas.
I thought I would put this in my bedroom above the bed.
Well I was not happy with the proportions.

Good news is I did hang it in my office that is full of light.

Which brings me to the final aftermath of this photograph above.
Striving for less color, sepia in fact.
Me then noticing the flowers, natural nature, it all began for me to tamper with them!
Sepia with random acts of color.
I felt like a kid with a new coloring book...

Now I am pretty sure this is going to be in canvas on my wall?

My hesitating on doing it is my procrastination, and because I don't like to spend the money.
Products like canvas, big mats, and "stand outs" cancel out mats and frames for me.
When you go with mats and frames there are MORE decisions, and it winds up being the same cost.

I keep justifying it to myself by adoring the white wood old door look, and how I won't tire of it.
The raw wood on outside is comforting.
Or that I love flowers, orange and yellow especially (remember I stop for sunflowers).
The flash of green farther in the door is also one of my favorite colors.

Today I might push the "order button".

BACK POSTING AND BLOGGING!

Happiness of Orchids

In addition I am thrilled because I could make a post today with no window telling me I am out of space.
However I do admit that I am out of my mind on occasions.
Apparently I ran out of space for posting photos and was BLOCKED out.
It happens when you keep posting large format photos.

I gave in and paid $5.00 for a year which gives me 20 GB of space.
Thanks to Sandra a blogger and follower.
Tech stuff currently is trying to swallowing me up.

The real story behind my orchids now is that they are blooming?
Some were destined to RIP soon, because they were in the wrong spot.
Since the cat of the house is on vacation I moved all the plants out in the open.
He can't help that he likes to eat my flowers and plants.
Or does he?
I have decided I will not purchase any more orchids until I can find safe zone areas for them to live and be free of predators.
At the moment I am at peace, and have time to adore my beauties.

Love with Orchids

HAPPY VALENTINES
WEEKEND

The color is red
This is one of many more I have orchid photos I took at the show.
Thought it was fitting for a Valentine photo...

This is the orchid I purchased at the Orchid Show last week.
What a sweet smelling flower for my garden window.
It is still alive and popping out new growth.
I can't seem to take the photo I really wanted of this flower.
Decided to post this one anyways.
Purple is a comforting color...

Orchids

I had a orchid years ago and never could keep it alive.
Came across this one a month ago at Freidman Brothers Hardware Store.
Phalaenopsis Orchid
Houseplant moth orchids require 70 to 85 day temperatures.
So I am still crossing my fingers on the life of this one!
I have it placed in my garden window.
If it proves itself, then I want to get the other one I liked that had tans and reds.
I believe they are pretty spectacular and wanted to share.
