Wall Art

Last summer in Malibu, California with two girlfriends, we found this flower shop.
Entrances like this pull my strings.
An older building with flowers, a very whimsical enchanted nursery through the back doors.
I kept thinking I would do something with this photo, like print cards.

Backing up some, I have wanted a few of my photographs to be printed for hanging in my home.
I have done this one time, and that was 4 years ago.
Asking myself what will look right, will Il be happy with them?
 I always put it off...
Last week I had a photo done of the trunks of birch trees, and leaves from my recent trip to Montana.
A panorama canvas.
I thought I would put this in my bedroom above the bed.
Well I was not happy with the proportions.

Good news is I did hang it in my office that is full of light.

Which brings me to the final aftermath of this photograph above.
Striving for less color, sepia in fact.
Me then noticing the flowers, natural nature, it all began for me to tamper with them!
Sepia with random acts of color.
I felt like a kid with a new coloring book...

Now I am pretty sure this is going to be in canvas on my wall?

My hesitating on doing it is my procrastination, and because I don't like to spend the money.
Products like canvas, big mats, and "stand outs" cancel out mats and frames for me.
When you go with mats and frames there are MORE decisions, and it winds up being the same cost.

I keep justifying it to myself by adoring the white wood old door look, and how I won't tire of it.
The raw wood on outside is comforting.
Or that I love flowers, orange and yellow especially (remember I stop for sunflowers).
The flash of green farther in the door is also one of my favorite colors.

Today I might push the "order button".
