Drops

This morning the sun came out of the cloudy skies for an hour.
I sat in the sun watching the birds, and getting warm with sunshine.
We had rain for a few days, and it will return tomorrow if the weather report was correct.
I tried to do rain drops.
Drops on plants, like rainbows, sunrise and sunsets are difficult for me to grasp.
It looked like it could be a fall post for me.
Especially because I am not out driving yet to find some fall colors.
A little too early still.

This is a lovely shot, I love everything about it from the wood the leaf is sitting on to the perfect leaf and the lovely raindrops.

Love the pretty leaf - what is it from? Haven't seen any like that around here.

Great photo. A good eye to capture this with the wood background. What a superb lense you must have.

I really like how the water acts like a magnifying glass on the leaf. Beautiful...

The contrasts stand out to me....the shiny water drops on the dry matte leaf on the dark shiny wood.

you did it perfectly and grabbed those drops. I have difficulty with rain drops and have seen many like yours that are beautiful and i can't figure why mine are not.

We had rain too, my husband sent me a text " I bet you could get some really good pictures of rain drops."
I cracked up, but I did take my camera and I got some good shots of drops. I just love taking pictures of them. The rain is so nice.
It is sure cold here today. It is so nice.

The color and textures make for a great shot. As Marie mentioned, it's the way the water magnifies the details of the leaf that I really like.

The first verse of William Blakes
"Augeries of Innocence"seemed to
come to mind when I saw your photo.

To see the world in a grain of sand
and heaven in a wild flower
Hold infinity in the palm of your
hand
And eternity in an hour.

William Blake 1757-1827

It's lovely.
