Bye Bye

Heading out today for a week.

Two girlfriends have invited me to go with them to Malibu, California!

A road trip…

Malibu is about seven hours south of my home.

There are a lot of activities planned.

Staying with a couple in Malibu, visiting a native plant garden, touring Lotusland Gardens (private garden we have reservations for), eating at great restaurants, offering my wines I gathered from wineries in Sonoma County where I live, sharing stories, ocean views, sunrises, sunsets, and being with people that love to laugh, explore and enjoy time together. 

I am taking my Nikon and my IPhone, laptop is staying home.

On our way back we are stopping in Santa Barbara for the night in a lovely quaint Inn.

Last March I went to Arnold, California with them to a cabin of one of the girls.

It was a great weekend because unexpected snow came down all weekend.

I shall return, and catch up with my blogger friends and followers.

Weekend Visitors

My weekend was as sweet as this charming cake.

Two out of town friends came to spend a few days with me.

I have not really known them for a long period of time.

I showed the gals around the area of where I live. 
We shared great food, wine, and stories.

It was good for all of us.

The cake above was one I hated to cut, but we did.

More Snow

The actual women who did all the shoveling were

Kate, next to her vehicle, and Annie to the right with shovel in hand.

They were the bones of the matter.

Two shovels, three women.

It was suggested I should collect "data" and "photos".

They worked together as a great team.

Annie originally from New York had memories of being outside in a lot of cold.

The cabin belongs to Kate, she had experience all right.

She was soon to let us know this was the most snow ever at the cabin!

Kate and Annie are neighbors in the real world.

It is always mystifying to me how people meet each other.

I am a firm believer that people meet because they were suppose to.

I am grateful... 

It appears to be an illusion.

The trees were not bending, and I didn't take the photo crooked.

The cabin was several miles from this little quaint town.

The celebration here was "Gold Rush Days".

This was the day after as we cruised down the main street to head for home.

Road TIme

Last year this was a road I traveled on in the desert.

Where it was warm and dry.

Today I am heading out from cold, wet, windy weather to

SNOW COUNTRY

Since this weekend with the girls has been planned for months we are going for it.

Packed ready to go for adventure.

Many of my fellow bloggers live in the cold snow for months.

The three of us will be in a cabin not far out from a quaint town which is celebrating, Daffodil Festival, St Patrick's Day, and Gold Rush Days all in one.

Best thing is this cabin has two fireplaces.
