Escape Me Too

The girl with the short hair and boots had my attention on this road.

She was frolicking around like my daughter use to do years ago on every camping trip.

I liked the combination of the black rubber boots, the striped dress, and that she escaped from her four younger brothers who kept following her around.

She escaped...

Unlike a fly on a rock that can go anywhere with no one to answer to.

Unless the flyswatter appears.

Or a bee on flowers soaking up all the pollen possible in their pudgy hairy legs.

This hair helps collect the pollen.

I believe this is a Italian breed of honey bee.

A wasp have the bubbly waters attracting them to strike a pose for me.

You always get what you need when out with a camera.

Sometimes you don't know what until you get home, weeks later.

Being the procrastinator that I have become for some unknown reasons.

Flies & Flowers & Buds Oh Boy

Flies have a lot of freedom.

Outdoors and in our homes sometimes.

Today I spent the day in the yard working, found this one lingering around my roses.

Great now I am stalking flies!

Not in the sun yet,blooms are back on a plant named Barb Mar in front yard.

Newest bloom of the day.

In fact this cactus has never bloomed before in its life.

I did do some filters on this one, couldn't get the camera or a new lens to do what I hoped for.

The light was never right in this location.

What a sweet scent.

What is the name of this flowering cactus?

Center stage of the yellow, white, and green center.

Then the white center cactus's started up.

Is it all the rain we had?

The sun, the heat, moon or stars?

Maybe it is steroids.

Summer

Is all about whatever you make it.

Even the little things in life that may be pests.

Beats winter in my book.

Hot lips 

Located in my yard brings lots of bees, hummingbirds, and deer do not eat them.

Lovely plant for full sun.

One of these days soon I will get the black bee I have been stalking.

Salvia microphylla 'Hot Lips' was found near the Chiapas area of Mexico and was introduced by Richard Turner of the Strybing Arboretum in San Francisco, California. This is a unique bi-color salvia that has red tips and white lips. In the hotter months of summer it may have all red and all white flowers on the same plant due to warmer night temperatures, but when the night temperature drops in the fall the flowers will return to their bi-color state. This Salvia has a similar look to Salvia greggii except it has a finer texture and smaller leaf. Hot Lips Sage seems not to have some of the leaf spot and defoliation problems that you can get with the greggii’s during high humidity situations, great for use in borders and beds. Salvia microphylla 'Hot Lips' can reach 30" tall and spread up to 6' at maturity.
