White-breasted Nuthatch
Corn in his beak, escaping the feeder, then flies to the tree.
Repeating back and forth all day long.
They come and go, this one left a few weeks ago.
My daughter went home with some new starts for her cactus garden.
She has an amazing collection putting in all native plants.
On a garden tour today, tucked back in a shaded corner.
Nature watching is what I do a lot of in the summer.

Lovely shots with nice colors.
Greetings, Joop
Hi Jane, you have some lovely shots here. That wee bird is so pretty, must have been pretty exhausted by the time he was finished :)
That cactus plant flower is just lovely. Your garden sounds like it must be a blaze of colour with all of these lovely flowers.
Ale się ten ptaszek nafruwa, ale za to nie musi szukać pożywienia gdzie indziej. Zdjęcia kwiatów z ogrodu córki są śliczne. Pozdrawiam.
But is this bird nafruwa, but it does not need to seek food elsewhere. Photos of flowers from the garden daughters are beautiful. Yours.
Nuthatches are so much fun to watch, they are such hyper little birds. Love all the colorful flowers, you must have a beautiful garden.

i love the orange tones in your prickly pear bloom. ours are straight yellow here.
I am a dedicated nature watcher too! Your backyard is the perfect spot to observe--great images, Jane.
Just to think.. a few months ago I had a White Breasted Nuthatch land in my hand. I still can't believe it, but I know it happened. It was quite the experience. Made me smile when I saw this cute little one you captured with your camera. Great shot Jane as is all your beautiful flowers.
Hope your first day of summer was a good one.
Hope all is well.
Dianne :)
I looking the beautiful place you having a wonderful time for you.
Amazing pictures!
I've always wondered why the nuthatches don't sit and eat at the feeder. Perhaps they are too shy to eat in front of other birds. ;)
Happy Sunday Jane!
xo Catherine
