There is always something to be said about houses, gardens, places with white picket fences.
I think just the idea of a picket fence around a home is mysterious.
But that is me.
A husband wife team. Her love of plants in a smaller yard, and he conducts the trains.
He takes care of two running trains complete with all accessories.
Visitors were asking how they water the yard with train tracks and trains.
They cover the tracks for water, often times removing all the homes, people, cars, etc.
Seemed like a lot of work.
But the children sure enjoyed it, OK I did too.
Hydrangeas that I can't have because the deer and rabbits eat them.
I had never seen the interior of a lamp shade be used like this before.
I thought it would be a great item for any yard.
A potato vine is growing out of a pot up to the bare metal of the lampshade.
Out of the four gardens I visited, this one seemed to be more enjoyable for me.
It was practical, and useful.
I can't begin to show all corners of each garden.
This was the first garden I visited and the largest!
They needed full time staff to take care of this place, it was way over the top for me.
But the pool was inviting.
But the lap pool seemed to catch my eye.
I felt overwhelmed with all the areas in a few acres in middle of a vineyard.
The Succulent bed was at the garden/home that I really enjoyed the most.
Very creative piece of yard art here.
This was the only house up on a hill.
They hired a trolley to bring people up to see these gardens!
But I did walk it, because others were too.
Hot day, but I made it with camera and myself.
Downhill was great.

The gardens are beautiful. Your pictures are amazing as always.
I love English gardens and white picket fences because it reminds me of bygone nostalgic days. Great images, Jane!
Fences are not just for keeping people and animals out of your yard. A quality fence can be both practical and aesthetically pleasing.
