This would be the normal for me to locate sunflowers in the rain.
At the Deli today there it was waiting for me.
What is this flower?
It is like a Calla Lily, blackish purple, soft velvet.
Would this be a
SCHWARZWALDERLILT?
In the Lily family
This beauty grows in my son and daughter in laws home only 3 miles away.
They say it doesn't bloom every year.
My 9 year old grandson told me not to touch it because it is too delicate and pretty.
Isn't that special?
The outside is vivid green, the inside looks like a spider all spread out with a million legs.
Black, purple and green, is is an amazing plant, that I would love to have in my yard.
Oh gee, the deer may think so too.
My newest addition to the yard is French Lavender that I planted last week.
Birds love the rain.
The mallard has return, seems to be a steady resident.
He contends with many other birds that eat all day long.
Spring is on its way...
