Gorilla Guy

San Francisco
2010

He had the look of love in his eye.
Played well with others.
Seemed to be at peace.

Could of watched him for hours.
Truthfully I don't like visiting zoos as I did in the past.
Not real sure I will consider returning.

Last year I posted another view of this same gorilla in color.
Today I felt like seeing what would happen if this photograph of the side view were in black and white.

Found one more Autumn pumpkin that ran into Christmas.
The frost you may see on the berries is real.
The berries are not real.
(honestly this is my last pumpkin photograph).

Wow, you really captured this Ape's unique expression! I also love your pumpkin/berries composition. I doesn't really feel like fall yet, but very soon I am sure!

His eyes look so sad, but he's amazing. I saw a beautiful Silverback at Animal Kingdom.

My goodness! he does look some other man:-)
Yes it is true you will find in our Australian aboriginal man.
I don't want to seen the pumpkin with berries in black and white.
Look after yourself!

Hi Janie, nice pic. No, we don't have to start using the new Dynamic View templates. It's just another option. And I might pay the $5 for more picture space too, unless I can figure out a better way. I hope you have a nice week :-)

Great pictures! I don't really like gorillas but you've captured him beautifully. And the pumpkin with berries is just a stunning picture. I love it.

Look at his eyes, something sad about his face. Great shot though and your pumpkin picture is lovely.

now that's a pretty punkin. and that sweet face calls for a hug and a kiss. he looks super in black and white, mystical like if he were in his habitat with a little fog. his eyes are sad. i do so hate to see wild animals not where they were born to be, zoo or no zoo. a really beautiful shot of him.

Żal mi zwierząt w ZOO, a goryl, jak dla mnie, patrzy smutno. Pozdrawiam

I feel differently about Zoos too since I became more aware of what animals go through. Still, a gorgeous gorilla photo. I haven't even started with my pumpkin pictures yet.

I'm haunted by his eyes. he reminds me of a famous gorilla we had here at the Milwaukee zoo. his name was Sampson, and he was a real crowd pleaser. he died suddenly several years back, but has been memorialized in many bronze statues, etc,. throughout the county. and I love your frost photo. we are still waiting for our first frost here. other areas away from the lake had one weeks ago, and we had advisories for the last two nights but my tomatoes are still hanging like bright green bulbs on the vines. tomorrow they're getting fried. happy week to you Janie.

I agree ... don't much enjoy zoos ... I know they are necessary but animals are designed to be free.

Don't stop with the pumpkins..you have another month! LOVE the pumpkin shot.

He does seem a little wistful, is a good shot though. I don't care for the big animals in zoos much, at least they are safe from hunters - but at what cost?

Beautiful! Congratulations! If you allow me, I want to draw the ape. Keep the good work going. Have a nice day!
