Yards & Stuff

Cats may have lazy days.
But I never do.
I am not one to sit much until evening comes.
This is my son's cat that I have posted before.
Tobiko is a big cat that has a lot of expressions.
He lays in the yard like this on his in the sun listening to the grandsons playing.

This is his normal yawning mode.
He likes to be near the boys when they are outside like a dog.
When my son come home from work, Topiko follows him around.

I have been watering for a neighbor while they are on vacation.
A few days ago in the evening on a hot day...
This rabbit came along not wanting to move much in the high temperature that day.
I took advantage of it.

Neighbor Norm and Ann's Magnolia tree is coming to its end.

Last but not least in my book is the Yard Art I mentioned a few posts ago.
This is the piece I bought at the Master Gardner Tour of yards.
It contains 3  old glass places glued together with aquarium glue.
Attached on the back is a hockey puck.
Drilled through the puck is a steel rod, that is in the ground now.
I put it next to my deck away from the green, not fearing a golf ball hitting it.
But just want it to be in a safe place, and so I can see it.

What great photos!! How fortunate to capture the bunny :-) I try to get shots of the squirrels, but the cats try to take advantage of me distracting the squirrels...

I LOVE the yard art!! I have some old plates, I might try to make one myself. But, that's a disaster waiting to happen I suspect.

I love Topiko! you've captured his spirit - a bit on the lazy side but wonderful. He's in a zone. the bunny rabbit is adorable. I've been at war with the one that lives under my rose bush. he's been eating off my spinach and swiss chard - I haven't had any yet, he's feasted until it's all gone. I think I finally have the fence holes plugged up so he can't make his speedy escape. I don't want to harm him, I just want him to leave my veggies alone!
I like the yard art you purchased, that's a great idea, salvaging unused items and re-purposing them. the top photo of Topiko is my fave. happy weekend to you Janie.

Love the yawning kitty shot! What a lovey. I'm always in awe of how creative people can be repurposing items. :-)

Awwww, Tobiko is just precious!
Reminds me of my Miss Kitty.
They truly do have one-of-a-kind, and some very quirky personalities.
