Cactus & Frogs & Birds

We had some hot temperatures.
Coupled with my feeding of the cactus, equal blooms.

This bud started after I used some of my rose food as choice of steroid.
Sometimes I use cactus food.
Did someone tell me this cactus doesn't bloom?

One can get a visual of the height of this cactus.

It bloomed at night, and we were out there to see it early on.
Of course it only lasted for about 12 hours.

A friend of mine has a wonderful pond in their yard.
This guy poked his head out for a photo opportunity.
I love seeing frogs.

Yesterday on Father's Day we were sitting on the deck.
Our daughter was visiting us for weekend.
The dear hummingbirds made their appearance.

This particular photo was taken through my garden window.
I have a hummingbird feeder that is suctioncuped to the window on outside.
It was so dark I decided to make it black and white.
A frequent visitor at my window...

Jane, I never realized that cacti flowers could be so beautiful. They remind me very much of water lily flowers.

Your silhouette of the hummingbird is absolutely gorgeous, and so perfect in black and white.

I wish you a wonderful beginning to your week!

so beautiful, love that tall skinny cactus with the bud. i just showed bob our night blooming cactus up in the top of the pine tree, has buds all over it, it only blooms at night to. it usually blooms the first week of July through the first week of Sept, but i think it will be early this year

Your cactus photos are so beautiful. that one cactus that bloomed I thing I have at our place at the Salton Sea. I have lots of them. I will have to try some fertilizer to see if I can get it to bloom. Might even help some of the other cactus. Love your little frog. Have a wonderful week. Hugs Carrie
