Home Sweet Home Blooms

In our yard today the only catcus we ever purchased bloomed.
Thinking the grass is greener on the other side, it stares you in the face.
Not red or pink, it is more of salmon color that is not showing up.

I purchased this just last year when it came home with one bloom on top.
Because I feed it steroids, look what happened.
Some people do not believe in feeding their cactus in the garden.

The joys of the sticky prickly cactus.

This is the side of my house on the green.
All this color came about, boy I have nothing to complain about.
The poppies usually fill in this dirt area.

See the bright orange arrow on the window?
It points to the bush where the Towhee nest is located with 3 eggs.
I think we will be having some more great views out of our windows.

My succulents in the front yard are up and running.
Thanks to the person that likes to feed their plants those nasty steroids.

ooh, pretty pretty. looking at the shot of the side of your house, I thought that could be Wisconsin, until I spied the tall palm tree. ah yes, California. I have a collection of cacti - gifts people have given me through the years, thinking I like them when actually I don't. sometimes I get too close and then have a festering prickly in my fingertip for months and months. I do like them, only when they're outside, not IN MY HOUSE. I think your blooms are impressive. nothing wrong with steroids in my opinion. you surely do have sparkly windows. come on over to my house. happy week to you Janie.
