Almost 2012

Oh the days in this past year have flown by...

Speaking of flying, this Acorn Woodpecker was at my feeder along with three others.
They all took turns for most of the afternoon.
I took this photo through the sliding glass window out on the deck side of house.

HAPPY NEW YEAR
to all my friends, bloggers, followers, old and the new to come in 2012.

I do not think I will be up to bring in the new year.
Usually we go out to dinner on New Years Eve.
Passing this year.
Maybe the hibernation mode is settling in.
Our winter is not its usual this year.
A few sprinkles yesterday, but now just cold and frosty.
The sun comes out in the day, I should be out there.

Big question?

Will I get back to swimming and spending time in the hot tub?
This is my goal.

Good Night
Sleep Tight
(yes this is me back in the day)

Some of us just have a slower clock than others, Janie. That's quite all right.

I wish I had a convenient way to swim every day -- I used to love to swim.

Happy New Year to you and yours. I hope we can be better connected in the coming year. I love your thoughtful comments and support. :)

YES, I am dancing again.
My foot is still swelling up, but will for a year or so?
Some pain, but it is healing, and I can wear shoes.

AND I wish I had that chair I slept in many years ago!
Check out that carpet, I remember it so well. The simple life back in 1956.

Janie I just love your picture from 'back in the day', bless the photographer!

Nice shot of the woodpecker!

I hope you had a good first day of the year and will have many more to follow.

Oh, on my last post, that is of my youngest son, true, I have 4 grandchildren older than he is, but I have the stretch marks to prove it. He was my 'change your life baby'. LOL!

I love to look at the birds in my backyard too. We had flocks of them stopping by to peck at some berries and then they flew south. I love the picture of you as a child-so cute! You asked what I had for lunch at the Swiss Hotel and it was a pulled pork sandwich with a green salad. We like to eat on the patio in the summer and inside during the winter. The food is good and the prices are reasonable. I just posted an image titled "Baby Boomers' Lament" and I think you will like it. Hope you are enjoying 2012!

Happy New Year Janie, Love your photo. I so know about hibernating. I have just a little to comfy here with all the snow and surely need a change to shake me out of this slumber. We have only been getting small dumps of snow once or twice a week so haven't had to snow push to often. Yes I still do all the snow clearing around our house by hand. Hubby does our driveway with many different methods. Its' always a gamble when I leave weather when coming home I will make it back up the hill. My shoulders have been quit sore lately as even the snow pusher has taken it toll. However my back is just fine. Trying to get myself organized for heading south end of the month. The back bedroom is piling high again when stuff to take. I have so many details to take care it's getting harder and harder to remember them. Just trying not to fret so much anymore about everything. What will be, will be. Hugs Carrie
