Small, Surprising, Big

While on the road I see the little things that think they may be hiding from me.
I spot them immediately, even with my glasses off.

More surprising is I had no idea hibiscus can possibly grow in Montana.
These were transplanted from North Carolina and doing lovely.

Not surprising is the love I have for horses.
I was listening to the owner and the trainer about the care of several horses in the coral.
Lots of work.

whoa, your macros are extraordinary. I could sit and stare at the fly all morning. just when I think I've seen it all, I see something else. same with the hibiscus. I didn't know they could grow in Montana either. even here in SE Wisconsin they must be brought indoors during the winter. the warm glow of sunlight on the horse's topknot is so lovely. you have a truly great eye for seeing small, surprising, and big things. and then capturing them.
happy day to you Janie. be safe.

Wow that fly is really something. You actually captured the beauty in it. I too so love horses. I also very much love the winter here. Life is a complete contrast here from our place in the Salton Sea. I do perfer it here. Hubby is older and his bones don't like the cold so we go south. Mind you he has gone south for almost 40 years now. We have a couple more months before winter really descends on us. Our summer right now is still going. Not normal I can't believe it is suppose to be fall already. Well better go see what more you are seeing thru your camera on your trip.
