Swim Progress

Sometimes playing is all a person wants to do.
Sand
Water
Sun
Toys
Time alone to focus
Or exercise that has become fun for people like me.

In previous blogs I told you that I am swimming after not being in water for many years.
The situation is I went at it too fast.

My neck and shoulder have not been right for the past three weeks.
Knot on left side of my shoulder, my neck tense.
By the end of the day the shoulder is pretty sore and aches.

Happy to report I am doing better because I quite using my arms in the water!
Applying ice and heat.
Had a deep tissue massage.

The only way I can be in the water is with my board to do those laps with just kicking.
Better than nothing I suppose, it is hard to be patient.

Meanwhile I see people swimming every which way.
Under water, back swim, butterfly, side stroke, you name it.
One older lady who use to teach swimming told me I did too much too fast.
Then there she goes swimming all the way across this pool taking NO breaths.
Good for her I say.
I will be back swimming soon, because it is better each day.

That pool looks glorious! I am sorry you've had a set back but I am 100% sure you'll make it to where you want to be! :)

Too much too soon. I have been guilty of that myself way too many times. Ya think I would learn? Nope. Be smarter than me. Slow and easy does it. Take care.

oh, sorry for the aches and pains and strains! but you're still in the water, and that's still a lot better than most of us! :)

That pool is gorgeous! And hey, you're sticking with it, even if you're just kicking. That alone is fantastic exercise!
