My Saturday Morning

Saturday morning I gaze out the window trying to wake up with coffee in hand.
In the weeping tree I see my woman statue that looks over the yard.

A few days ago coming down the fig tree,
This squirrel makes our yard his turf.
He loves birdseed...

Oh gee, he leaps onto the flat bird feeder complete with cage.

How brilliant, he squeezes thought the cage put over to make it squirrel proof.
Is it brilliant or is he just persistent?

This very morning I then see a deer waking up from the night.
She was alone, usually their are two or three that wander around.
A few days ago it was a male with a full rack of beautiful velvet antlers.

The same window she stands and notices me.
Camera always near by I try for more through the double pane glass photos.

The deer spend a lot of time looking at people or anything that moves.
Wondering if they will be told to leave.
I never tell them that.
Even if they want to eat some of my roses occasionally.
Which gets me in a uproar.
The End

Lovely series of photos, Janie. A bit different than my post on Mornings! Yours is a bit more subdued, but just as interesting! :)

I love your lady statue and the deer is just precious. Great shots. I continually battle the gray and red squirrels eating my bird food. That gets me in an uproar! :)

What a sweet looking thing, hope her friends didn't wander too far away. :-)

Hello Janie, This is just perfect, I would love to wake up to such a peaceful display of animals, true they can be damaging pests, but just beautiful! I get to wake up to traffic noise & the odd bird or two! City life, hmmmmmmmm...

Thank you everyone! Yesterday a mother deer came in the yard with the tiny little baby with spots all over its fur. It was so cute. The photos are not the best, I could post them. Will see.

Appreciate you all, and will be visitng you soon.
