SNOW
For many snow is not an unusual thing to see during winter.
I was invited to a cabin located near Arnold, California.
Some people don't imagine California as snow country.
Snow in March to this degree is unusual and more than we ever anticipated.
The three of us came up with a name for ourselves.
"Mountain Women"

Not possible to drive up the driveway on Friday.
Just enough to be off the road.
We carried all our gear up in ankle to knee deep snow.
The cabin was two story and very charming.
We went into the town of Murphy for a festival.
Our favorite things to do was play in the snow, eat great food, drink the best wines, share stories, and gaze out the window most all the time.

During the night another foot of snow!
This morning we carried our gear down to the snow covered car.
 SHOVELING
and a lot of it!
How do people live this way?
As we made our way home, the suggestion was we do this four times a year for each season.
I will add more snow photos

There's certainly a contrast between what is fun in a holiday and how one would like to live one's daily life.

Nope, i certainly wouldn't have expected snow in Califonia, but a bit of altitude can make a fair old difference to the temperature.
Doesn't snow look great when it's still clean and untouched. Probably not so great fromthe business end of a shovel I imagine.

We live like that for 4-6 months:) And I don't like but what can I do. I never thought that there can be snow in California. I have always thought that is the state of ever lasting summer.

Oh, my goodness, look at all that snow, and we do get some snowy winters here, but that's something! You certainly got your money's worth! LOL!
