Fowl

Wanted to post something today, better late than never.
When I was at the San Francisco Zoo in November (see earlier post), this was one of many finds.
Be reminded that zoos are not my most favorite places.
The white feathers, vibrant orange beak.

Anyone venturing a guess on the name of this bird?

Will be posting more photos in next couple days.
I am behind because of the great warm weather we are having up here.
It was 75 degrees today!
Spring apparently is sticking around for awhile.
But I don't trust it, I know we will back to rain.
One reason I posted this bird was because of the gentle innocent look.

stunning photo, the colors and clarity are wonderful. it does look sweet and gentle. I to am not a fan of zoos because it hurts me to see them contained. some are better than others with them in natural habaitat but still not free to roam

Beautiful capture, the water is lovely as well as the bird, love the look of his feathers. Is he a type of goose? Now this is going to be puzzling me! haha!

What a gorgeous photo of a beautiful bird! I couldn't even begin to guess on the species... I am clueless that way. But I *do* know a good photo when I see one and that IS one. ;o)

I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend, take in all the good weather you can! :o)

some sort of genetic mutant that doesn't occur in nature, a "funny goose".
