Gourds & Pumpkins

Today I went to a Pumpkin Patch.
A drive through Sonoma, CA on to Petaluma where the pumpkins and sunflowers are located.
It was an overcast day, the sun tried to come out.
I still enjoyed driving the back roads and being outside most of all day.
Here are a few of my finds.
The sun came out briefly just as I arrived to find this truck.
I love the colors, textures, sizes of the pumpkins and gourds.

The patch is much bigger than what you see in the photo.
They have pigs, sheep, cows, goats, a horse.
There is a big corn stalk maze that I got lost in one time not too many years ago.
A jumping house for children to run off their energy.
Then the big stacks of hay.
I realized I was missing my two grandsons.
They have been to this place with me, and love climbing.
However when I take photos I can't take them, besides that they were in school.
I enjoy finding pumpkins with interesting stems.
This one looks like some guy holding a mass of something.
This goat really wanted out of the gated area.
He stood up and wanted his photograph taken.
Stems, colors, seeds, textures.
Plants are amazing.
Buds of a sunflower.
I wonder if this one may be a little late.
Because most of the ones I saw where on their way out.
I was told last week would of been the best with sun and the spry flowers showing off their stuff.
Gourds are cool.
I never noticed these things until I moved up to Northern California thirty eight years ago when I realized fall has a new meaning.
This sunflower appeared to have a heart shape center.
The End

Here it was snowing this morning, but right now it's soon coming rain. So we have a little bit of both today.
Wishing you a nice weekend:)

Thank you, I know it must be an overload of pumpkins. What is interesting to me is to hear from people all over the world, and finding out it is snowing for some, hot for others, or rain. This is why I like the blog, to see your photos and your world. I will be visiting you all soon.

Great shots! The last one of the pumpkin bum made me giggle. Great find!

Coneflower Ranch, that "bum" pumpkin was purchased by a worker at the pumpkin patch. She had it aside to take home. I found out she wanted to put a bra on it. I also learned that there were a lot of gourds and pumpkins that grew DOUBLES this year. They do not know why...

Did you bring home any of these pumpkins or gourds for yourself? I like the picture of the stem-man holding something in his stem-hands.
