My Friend

Nancy is a long time friend of mine.
(Her husband took this photo on a fishing trip)
Nancy and her husband, son and daughter lived one house down from us in small town of Northern California. They later moved out across the river in outside of that town, a lovely home with acre. We moved 45 miles south of her.  She gardens, cans, cooks, bakes, walks, travels, the best Nonna to five grandchildren, and always has a smile on her face.
Our kids use to race around on side walks with their noisy big wheels.
The neighborhood was great back in the 70's.
Nancy is funny, energetic, compassionate, giving, tells great stories and cooks yummy Italian food.
Her husband Dale is a hunter and fisherman, he is a gentleman.
We have stayed in contact many years, and our kids are married with kids.

One of our best trips was to the Panama Canal with four other couples to Panama Canal, a cruise of three weeks that she organized. Usually we traveled alone.  That trip in 2003 was the most memorable.
We never run out of anything to talk about over coffee or wine.
Every time I leave her house I have such a high fun feeling inside.
We need more Nancy's in the world!
Photo taken by her husband, on their yearly fishing trip to Smith River.
She caught the bigger fish that day.
Is there anything she can't do?

One year she went away on a working dude ranch and rode her fool head off for an entire week.  Slept in a tent. She met incredible people endured a sore body, and rode her horse down steep mountain sides.
I hope she is my friend forever.
I hope to see her next week so we can catch up.
I would consider Nancy one of those adventurous bold type women.
She travels all over and it is hard keeping her home.
A part time travel agent out of her home.
If you have travel needs let me know and I can introduce you to her.
