Lady Polo

Over the weekend I stopped by the polo field.
The teams practice a few times a week near my home.
This young woman was out with the guys cutting up the turf.
Her long blond hair flying in the breeze.
You could feel the horse hitting the ground.
I admire women that do bold exciting things in their life.

I wish I could track the 80 year old woman I call Ruby.
Ruby rides miles each day on her bicycle near my house.
With her ruby red lipstick, her trusty helmet, and bike basket.
If I catch Ruby I will post her photo and her story.

The most brave thing I have ever done was zip lines in Mexico from high tree top landings.  I will never forget that experience.

What brave exciting things have you done in your life?

This picture here inspires me to get out more with my camera. Now that my lovely wife kindly gave me her old Nikon that was collecting dust in the closet, I have something to work with.

One of the most exciting things I did was "The Ropes Course" at Healing Odyssey... A women's Cancer Retreat" in Santa Barbara Mountains. It took me beyond the fear of Cancer and from that weekend on, I have never once felt afraid. I learned to live on the Edge. It was the best experience and I continued with Healing Odyssey for 8 years, staffing at the retreats, so I experienced the "Ropes Course" through many other women as I watched them learn to Live Beyond their Fears. xo Lesley
